Rotary President’s Message Welcome to the Rotary Club of Kelseyville Sunrise Website! The Rotary Club of Kelseyville Sunrise is located in beautiful Lake County, California. Our club was formed in 1996 under then District 5130 District Governor Cameron Reeves who was a Lakeport Club member at that time. It was a goal of his to start at least one new club in the District. I think he started two. He transferred later to the Kelseyville Club upon his retirement as County Counsel. We are proud to be one of the many great Rotary Clubs within District 5130. Our club meets Friday mornings at 7:00 am sharp at the Saw Shop Gallery Bistro, Kelseyville's premiere restaurant, located on Main Street downtown. The Rotary Club of Kelseyville Sunrise has a well earned reputation for being a “fun club.” We enjoy working together, participating in many projects in our community and abroad while managing to have a great time and building goodwill. We are especially proud of our service to youth. We actively support youth exchange programs and youth leadership through Interact, scholarships for higher education and continuing education, and reading/literacy programs at the elementary school level. This year, our Club is proud to sponsor three international projects providing much needed humanitarian support around the world. Our primary fund raiser is the annual “Wild West Shootout” held the first or second Saturday in April, this year April 4th. The event is always a lot of fun with good food and music, all set in an old time western saloon theme. I hope you will take a minute and browse the many activities and projects that are included on our website. Please take note of the many links to other Rotary activities, local businesses and places of interest in our area. Please check our contacts for more information about Rotary, Rotary membership and the Rotary Club of Kelseyville Sunrise. Thank you for your interest in Rotary and the Kelseyville area, John Burke, President, 2009-2010
