January 29, 2010Our January student of the month is Justin Johnson. 
Justin is an 8th grader, is a 4.0 student, is very personable and well liked. He is a member of a very big family and he is very good with his younger brothers and sisters. He played on the foodball team in the fall and he is currently on the basketball team. He is one of those rare types who is wll liked and highly respected. Morgan is an outstanding student that is invilved in many aspects of high school life. Athletically he participates in three sports (Football, Wrestling, Track) along with the FFA Program. This year he is working towards his State FFA Degree which will complete four years of participation in the Future Farmers of America program. This past month Morgan was also recognized as an "All-League" football player by the coaches of the conference. Morgan has continued his success this month while he competes on the varssity wrestling team. Morgan is a hard worker that has represented himself and Kelseyville High School at the highest level. Morgan stands with his parents after the January awards ceremony at the Saw Shop

| Middle and High School Student Recognition 1. Monthly - recognize outstanding students from Kelseyville Middle School and High School. 2. Months: October 2009 thru June 2010. 3. Teachers and Counselors will choose students based upon: Academics, Social | Involvement, Community Involvement, 4-H, KACOR, Civic, Random Acts of Kindness, etc. 4. Monthly - Students will attend friday morning Rotary Sunrise (Breakfast) meeting (7:00 AM at the Saw Shop) and will be presented with a certificate from the club - Last Friday of the month. 5. Students may be asked to help with club projects. 6. May be an entry to starting an Interact club at the middle school level. 7. Local merchants will be asked to donate to students who have been selected (Pizza certificates, KFC, Movie tickets, Block Buster, McDonalds, Wal mart, K-Mart, Gift Cards, $25.00 Max). 8. Write up in the local papers (School and Local Newspapers). 9. Recognition at the school assembly. |

November 20, 2009 This month Kyle Schmidt, and 8th grader at Mountain Vista Middle School and Blake Panos a senior at Kelseyville High School were honored with Student of the Month awards and gifts from Armand Pauly of Polestar Computers in Kelseyville.

October 30, 2009 Our congratulations to Nathan Sherman and Kristyn Bridges who were named Students of the month by their schools for October 2009. Each student received a plaque from the Rotary Club and a $25 gift certificate from Guido's Pizzeria in Kelseyville. Troy and Mary Sherman's son Nathan was presented with the Student of the Month Award. Nathan is a student at Mountain Vista Middle School.
