John was introducted to golf in Chicago where he started out as a caddy at the Beverly Country Club and caddied for many of Chicago's famous. He caddied for three years and at 15 became the Assistant Caddy Master. The club had 200 caddies on site, this was before golf carts. When the caddy's were not out on the course, John organized and ran volleyball and basketball tournaments to help keep them entertained. Often caddies became pros and moved up but started as Birds and Loopers (beginners and more experienced). He is married to Cindy and they have five children. Burton, who is a licensed agent for State Farm Insurance, spoke about the importance of planning ahead and the real impact not planning can have on a family, his topic: Long-Term Care Insurance. Burton pointed out that 72% of us will require long-term care and the costs average around $65,000 a year even if you are at home. Why consider it now -- never a rate increase but, depending on the age at which you start, the policy cost will be higher.
