Rotarian Armand Pauly congratulates Fire Chief Mike Stone after he talked to Rotarians about the Kelseyville Fire Department.  Chief Stone signed a childrens book which be placed in the Kelseyville Elementary School Library.

Fire Chief Mike Stone (right) explained the challenges of a fire and rescure department.  Mike has been a firefighter for 31 years, starting with the fire service when he was 18.  He has held virtually all possible positions in the fire department.  Chief Stone is married and has three grown children.  He said that firefighters must now be paramedics as well and must be prepared to tackle many different types of rescue in this area including water and mountain rescues.  The fire district is 90 square miles.
